Evergreen High School

2025-2026

Evergreen High School engages all students in rigorous, creative, and innovative educational experiences that prepare them to advance the global community. EHS is a comprehensive mountain-area high school serving grades 9 through 12. EHS is one of 24 high schools in the Jefferson County Public School District R-1, the largest K-12 school system in Colorado. EHS?s total enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is 906 students. EHS endeavors to align robust offerings with student interests and pos… t-secondary goals. These offerings include special interest clubs, co-curricular clubs, CTSOs, and student government. EHS graduates are enrolled in all of Colorado's state universities and colleges, as well as the most prestigious universities throughout the country. The EHS staff is a team of dedicated and professional educators with high levels of expertise in their content area. A teaching staff of 42 brings a depth of knowledge and real-world experiences to the classroom. EHS prioritizes rigorous academic preparation accompanied by universal supports to address the varied needs and interests of all students. Alongside academics, EHS values the development of the whole child. Athletics, activities, and social-emotional supports contribute to this goal. Activities offerings are growing in order to match the diverse talents of Evergreen?s student body. CTSOs and CTE programming grant students opportunities to apply learning outside the classroom and connect with career-related skill development. Evergreen High School has consistently earned the John Irwin School of Excellence Award. The Colorado Department of Education awards the John Irwin School of Excellence to the top 8% of state schools. EHS has received the highest academic performance rating of ''Excellent'' on the Colorado Department of Education School Accountability Report for all 15+ years. EHS was awarded the National Blue Ribbon School Award in 2007 and 2015, one of the most prestigious education awards in the country. Several key leadership groups collaborate to provide school wide, targeted, and intensive student services, supports, programs, and interventions. The Building Leadership Team, School-Family Partnership (School-level Advisory Committee), and Counseling team work closely together to critically examine our school programs, policies, and practices. These groups analyze information about our community, school, and students, including characteristics, activities, and outcomes. These groups meet regularly for the purpose of assessing programming, providing recommendations for improvements, and for participating in the overall development of a collaborative, positive working and learning environment.
