Description of School: Dakota Ridge High School is a four-year comprehensive high school that opened its doors on August 20, 1996. It is one of seventeen traditional high schools in Jefferson County Public Schools, Colorado's largest school district, serving nearly 86,000 students. Dakota Ridge High School is located in southwest suburban Denver with a total enrollment of 1,250. Students are scheduled for a maximum of four 90-minute block classes per day, alternating every other day. Within thes… e eight blocks, all students can take six half-credit academic courses each semester, plus a mandatory Seminar class, while 9th graders are also enrolled in a no-credit Study Hall. Dakota Ridge offers Honors, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Career Explore, Concurrent enrollment, and CTE courses. Additional Information: - Current information Current graduation rate for 2024 ? 2025 = 95% Dropout rate = 1%. Free and Reduced Lunch = 24% Setting and Process for Data Analysis: The school setting and process for analyzing data and developing the School Unified Improvement Plan is through strategic meeting times with the Principal, Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and the Academic Leadership Team consisting of representatives from Counseling, English, Math, Science, Special Education, Social Studies and World Language. The development of the UIP is shared at Content Department meetings, Faculty Meetings, and Parent Accountability Meetings.
