Our district is located 40 miles East of Aurora on I-70. We have our Pre-K-12 school located all on one campus with around 540 students in the brick and mortar. We also authorize a set of online schools that provide additional learning opportunities for students across the state of Colorado for K-12 students. Each one of those schools develop their own UIP specific to their needs. Our DAC is presented, and provides input for the plans annually, all the UIP's from each school are shared individua…
lly with the DAC and School Board. We have seen an increase in our ELL population over the past school year. Over 25% Hispanic culture is present, as our most dominate minority group. Through discussions with all staff (principals, teachers, para-professionals, community members, accountability committees and booster club) we have determined that we need to provide a more inclusive environment for our Spanish speaking families throughout the district.
