Secrest Elementary is a diverse neighborhood school; we proudly provide a welcoming and safe learning environment with a family feeling. Many of our students, parents- and even grandparents - were once Secrest Firebirds. Our mission is for ALL students to grow and succeed every day. To achieve that, our schedule has been carefully crafted for every student to receive individualized support or acceleration in literacy and math on a daily basis. earning Systems STEM lab in our multi-media center. Our students have the opportunity to explore, code, build and design with projects connected to grade level standards and topics. At Secrest we value the whole child and take time to teach and reward positive social-emotional behaviors as well as academic growth. We have a supportive community with whom we partner for the success of each child. Secrest Elementary was a receiving school during both the 23-24 and 24-25 school years as Jeffco Schools closed 21 neighborhood schools across the District. With the closing of Peck Elementary, the boundary lines of Secrest have expanded and we also serve students with cognitive disabilities in a Significant Support Needs Center Based Program. We believe that the inclusion of diverse students benefits all of our students. As an impacted Title I school we value providing a school experience focused on the whole learner.
