About Bradford K8 South (0950)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Bradford K8 South

2025-2026

Bradford K-8 is dedicated to creating an enriching educational environment that promotes student achievement and success. We understand that each student has unique needs, and we are committed to addressing these through tailored support and innovative practices. Our approach integrates technology and meaningful, authentic projects that not only engage students but also prepare them for future challenges. We take pride in our extensive track record of success, which includes impressive status an… d growth scores. Our commitment to incorporating innovative instructional practices allows us to engage students actively in their learning. At Bradford, we embrace expeditionary practices, delivering curriculum through authentic experiences and project-based learning that ignites curiosity and fosters critical thinking. One key feature of our school is the "What I Need" (WIN) time (K-4) or Academy (5-8), where students from Kindergarten through 8th grade receive data-driven interventions and extensions tailored to their learning needs. This dedicated time allows for personalized support, ensuring that every student can thrive. In addition to academic focus, our daily Crew time reinforces school-wide character traits: Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Engagement. This time allows for reflection and the integration of these values into daily activities. For students in grades 6-8, Crew serves as a family, with the same teacher and students remaining together for all three years, fostering strong relationships and a supportive community. To build these connections, we organize engaging opening days (5th-8th) with activities such as sailing, rock climbing, and slack-lining, which not only promote teamwork but also embody our character traits. Our middle school students participate in an Intensive Week, where they focus on passion areas outside the traditional classroom. Options such as cooking, the science of flight, urban gardening, theater, and outdoor photography provide students with enriching experiences that connect learning to real-world applications. We also prioritize parent and community participation through our strong partnership with the PTA and Ken Caryl Recreation Center. Together, we offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including Chess, Drama, Math Club, Intramural Sports, Foreign Language, Robotics, Running Club, Junior Great Books, and more. These programs not only enhance student learning but also strengthen our community ties, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. At Bradford K-8, we are committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future success. By addressing individual student needs, promoting safety, and encouraging active community involvement, we create an educational experience that is truly enriching for all.
