Ralston Valley is a comprehensive, four-year school located in Arvada, CO, a northwest suburb of Denver. Opened in 2000, Ralston Valley has established a solid reputation as one of Colorado?s premier public schools. The school enrollment is 1891 students (82% Anglo; 12% Hispanic; 1% Asian multiracial; less than 1% Two or More Races; less than 1% African American; less than 1% Pacific Islander. Ralston Valley has a history of strong academic performance in its 25-year history (17 years the school has been awarded the John Irwin Award for academic excellence). The school offers a wide variety of core academic and elective classes. Core academics include English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Electives include Family Consumer Sciences, Business, Visual Arts, Theater, Computer Science, Physical Education, World Languages, Engineering and Architecture, Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Geometry in Construction. In the school year of 24-25, Ralston Valley offered multiple honors and AP courses. 554 students participated in one or more of the 24 AP courses offered, with 869 total exams administered. 482 of those students (87%) earned a 3+ or higher.
