Hayden School District serves approximately 450 students PreK-12 in Routt County Colorado, and is comprised of Hayden Valley Elementary School, Hayden Middle School, and Hayden High School. All three schools are housed, along with the district administrative offices, within a single facility. The facility was built in 2020 through the passage of a local bond issue and the awarding of a BEST grant. Average class sizes range from approximately 18 students at the elementary level, and are 16-18 at …
the middle and high school levels. Hayden School District employs 78 staff members throughout the Yampa Valley. Staff well-being is a critical component of the district's 5-year strategic plan, and the district is pleased to report that in the 2024 TLCC survey, 81% of district employees rate HSD as a positive place to work. Hayden School District is a member of Northwest BOCES, coordinating special education services to approximately 15% of its student population. Hayden School District has worked with the Marzano Group toward certifications in Marzano's High Reliabilty Schools. The district is proud to report that all three schools are working on Level 3 H.R.S. certification, focusing on ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum for it students and staff. The district received a rating of ?Accredited? on the District Performance Framework.
