In addition, Briggsdale Preschool includes an additional seven four year old preschool students in the UPK program. Â Briggsdale School District is a single campus facility for preschool through twelfth grade students. The district is blessed by community involvement, and thus encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities such as athletics, drama, choir, NHS, FCCLA, FBLA, and FFA. Our students avail themselves of postsecondary classes and concurrent enrollment courses through Morgan Community College, Aims College and online opportunities. Â The stakeholders involved in the development of the UIP are as follows: students, teachers, administration, parents as Accountability Committee members, and the Board of Education. All of these groups have had meaningful input in the development of the UIP. These groups receive information regarding the process and the results of data examination. Â The course plan at Briggsdale School District RE10J provides opportunities for equal access to every student enrolled at Briggsdale School. Every student can choose to take upper level classes. All students who meet college requirements are encouraged to take college concurrent enrollment classes. The most popular college courses are College English, College Algebra, and Statistics. Students also take other online college classes based on interest. By policy, Briggsale students are allowed in enroll in three college classes per semester at the expense of the district. The district also pays for all fees and books when students enroll. Â Participation in state assessments did not meet the 95% requirement; however, participation with opt outs coded appropriately is in place, and the 95% threshold is met in that regard. In fact, with opt outs, 100% of students eligible for testing are accounted for. in 2025, only two elementary students participated in state CMAS assessment. Parents and guardians consistently exercise their statutory right to opt their students out of testing. Therefore, state testing data is not representative of Briggsdale RE10J and is not sufficient for consideration in crafting the Unified Improvement Plan. Insufficient data is the appropriate rating based on the number of students participating in CMAS testing. There is, however, adequate district assessment data to assess the academic performance of students in the district. Â Students in ninth through 11th grades participate in PSAT 9 and 10 as well as SAT assessment. Students and their parents value the quick turnaround time for getting results. Â This being said, 100% of students in grades 1-10 participated in the nationally normed NWEA MAPS Growth assessment offered by the district. Additionally, 100% of preschool and kindergarten students were assessed using Teaching Strategies Gold, and all K-3 students were assessed using DIBELS 8. Â Assessment results are provided to parents through personal contact at Parent Teacher Conferences, accountability newsletters, and the school website. This includes assessment participation information. Â The attendance rate at Briggsdale School District RE10J is 94.75% and has consistently moved upward since the 2020-2021 school year. Additional factors showing that students are highly engaged are as follows: Students are engaged in clubs and activities at Briggsdale with most of them participating in more than one school activity. Ninety-five percent of students are involved in at least one extracurricular activity. These activities include sports, but also FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, drama, and NHS. Additional engagement is focused on the Wednesday program for K-8 students who show the need for extra help. Â No students were retained in 2024-2025. The mobility rate at Briggsdale is very low, registering at two percent. Weld County RE10J - Briggsdale has three students identified as English Language Learners. Approximately 30% of students are identified as qualifying for free and reduced lunches. Â There appears to be no difference in achievement for any disaggregated groups except special education students; however, special education students are growing at rates that are appropriate for their identified disability. Except for males and females, there is no disaggregated group that has a sufficient n-count to report. Â It is probable that if all students participated in state CMAS testing, Briggsdale would not be identified as a comprehensive support school. Even if achievement for the two students tested last year was improved, an n-count of two is not appropriate for evaluation a school's progress.
