East Grand School District # 2 is a small mountainous rural district located in the heart of The Rocky Mountains just west of Rocky Mountain National Park and about 85 miles from Denver. Our district serves the communities of Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, Grand Lake and Hot Sulphur Springs. EGSD currently serves 1300 students grades prek-12. ding full day kindergarten to all students and pre-school to those who qualify through UPK or attend with paying tuition. We continue to offer daily Art, Music, Science and PE taught by specialists at all levels and World Languages 6- 12 grade. Diversity in East Grand is in the areas of free and reduced lunch, special education, and multilingual learner populations. The Unified Improvement Plan was developed between the EGSD Leadership Team with feedback from the District Accountability Committee. The process included reviewing survey and trend data from multiple data sources. The UIP has major changes from previous years as our primary focus shifts to maintaining growth in Health & Wellness as well as Climate and Culture, but a stronger emphasis on achievement and growth in academics as we move out of the pandemic. Our priority challenges were identified for this year based on current district goals from state and local data.
