Description of School Setting and Process for Data Analysis: Mountain Vista is located in Highlands Ranch, CO and opened in 2001. Highlands Ranch is a middle to upper middle class neighborhood south of Denver . MVHS is a comprehensive public high school that serves approximately 2350 students. MVHS is in the Douglas County School District 5A Continental League. In addition to internal data collection measures, MVHS uses various standardized data points to monitor achievement and progress. e include but are not limited to SAT, PSAT, SPF, CMAS, AP Scores, & ACT. Departments, PLC's and individuals regularly analyze data and modify and adjust based on trends or outcomes. MVHS Staff members are consistently analyzing and examining individual and team assessment systems and assessment approaches and initiating adjustments to assessment approach in order to monitor student progress in regard to identified outcomes and skills in addition to content. The MVHS SAC is a highly organized and well-functioning, involved group. They provide input as we develop our school goals throughout the year and set our PLC, PD and student growth targets. The SAC reviews and approves the final UIP in March.
