Pioneer Elementary School worked with our teacher leaders based on information from our entire staff year to create a new vision and mission which includes  Rooted in the PACK Promise, Pioneer Elementary nurtures a safe, welcoming community built on meaningful relationships and rich traditions. We empower every student to grow academically, build strong character, and develop the resilience needed to thrive?together, all the time. We work each day to inspire and support one another in creating t…
he best possible learning environment. Our strong community partnerships are reflected in the many events and opportunities offered to our students and families, from school dances to running clubs, robotics, and unique programs like our composting club, Chicken Tenders, and Student Council. This past year we have created legacy field trips. Each grade level paid by PTO has a grade level field trip. We also invest in our school environment through projects such as a sensory garden, peace pole, and outdoor classroom, which enhance learning and well-being beyond the traditional classroom walls. Finally we invest in our social emotional learning through a rigorous Positive Behavior Intervention System. We celebrate students weekly on Wednesdays through our PACK awards, monthly through our Tribe celebrations and then quarterly through our PACK promises. Academically, we are committed to implementing a rich curriculum with fidelity, ensuring every child receives high-quality Tier I instruction. This strong Tier I instruction is created with a commitment to our instructional models in math, reading, writing and social studies/science. Our schedule protects our Tier I Essentials and then designated time for Tier II interventions as well as rich Tier III interventions. Pioneer has proudly been recognized with the Inclusion Award for our work in creating an environment that honors the unique gifts and talents of each child. We are home to two center-based programs for students with special needs as well as an ESL program, reflecting our commitment to equity and individualized support. Our theme this year, ?Together We Can,? represents our belief in collective teacher efficacy and our dedication to helping each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We continually use data to drive instruction and refine programming. Data analysis occurs across multiple layers?leadership teams, grade-level PLCs, IMTSS, Special Education teams, and our Parent Accountability Team?ensuring a shared responsibility for student success. Within our WIN ( What Everyone Needs ) structure, students receive daily targeted interventions and enrichment, complementing the high-quality instruction delivered by their classroom teachers. At Pioneer Elementary, we are proud of who we are and excited for who we are becoming. Together, we are building a school community that empowers one another and paves the way for a brighter tomorrow.
