Summit View Elementary School is located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The mission of our school is to learn together, care together, and work together to achieve high levels of success for all. The inviting culture resonates in every classroom, giving teachers, students, and parents an opportunity to think, dream, believe, and achieve. Our Habits of Character education platform and restorative practices are specifically designed for our school philosophy, culture and community. Our character traits are embedded in our leadership programs and consistent throughout our school. Student learning needs on all areas of the spectrum are met with help of literacy specialists, interventionists, educational assistants in every grade level for small group enhanced instruction. From observing students engaged in hands-on activities to viewing small group Socratic seminars, to listening to students inquiring and laughing, to empowering students and parents in the learning process using student-led conferences, Summit View allows for students to be engaged, think and achieve. Summit View believes we are all part of ensuring success for all students. We Are Crew, not Passengers. To gain insight and determine areas of need and process for data analysis, The Instructional leadership Team analyzed all data to determine the needs of Summit View Elementary School using a data protocol. The School Accountability Committee then collaborated with our leadership group to determine areas of strength and weakness. The data used to identify trends is the Colorado Department of Education 3 year School Growth Summary and the School Performance Framework, School-wide assessments (formative and summative), and staff surveys.
