Poudre High School (PHS) opened in 1964, is the second oldest comprehensive high school in Poudre School District, offering more than 2 50 class offerings. PHS encourages, supports and prepares students for opportunities and success in AP course work, International Baccalaureate classes and concurrent enrollment in Front Range Community College and AIMS Community College. in: Agriculture and the Environment, Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Design, Entrepreneurship, Health Science and Human Services and the International Baccalaureate Pre-Diploma pathway. We are home to Poudre School District's International Baccalaureate program, JROTC program, P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) and the Opportunities Unlimited program, an alternative program targeted intervention for students who are at risk of not graduating; students earn a high school equivalency diploma and support to attend community college. Our Work Based learning program provides over 300 students every year the opportunity for apprenticeships, internships and job placement for credit. The newcomer program provides support for our English Language Learners (ELL) and we have an IlS, AN, and Multi-Cat program to support our students with disabilities. The geometry in construction program is a hands on program where students learn Geometry through the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home. We are a demonstration school for the Center for High School Success for our work focusing on the importance of the 9th grade year and how this is a predictor for graduation.
