Jenkins is a high performing middle school that offers a comprehensive academic curriculum designed to challenge and engage students. The school provides advanced classes in core subjects, including double advanced math courses, to cater to students seeking greater academic challenges. Additionally, the Gifted & Talented Academy (GTA) at Jenkins utilizes a Talent Development Model, offering individualized scheduling to address the specific needs of students with advanced aptitudes in areas such …
as math, art, English Language Arts, music, and leadership. The school enrollment is at appropriately 750 students. The school also emphasizes a well-rounded education through various programs including World Languages, Performing and Visual Arts including band, choir, orchestra, drama, and visual arts. There are Exploratory Programs including LeadWorthy, forensics, and Gateway to Technology and Physical Education. Jenkins offers a variety of sports team including basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, football, softball, and wrestling and we continually make the finals to compete for the district championship . Students have opportunities to engage in clubs such as robotics, Lego Club, Battle of the Books, drama, and student leadership. Jenkins Middle School fosters a supportive and inclusive environment. The school has been recognized as a Capturing Kids?
