Teachers use various instructional materials, including online resources, textbooks, and multimedia content. The highly qualified Staff hold themselves to the exact rigorous expectations as their students. The team participates in regular personal and professional development to ensure the best instruction for their students. Our curriculum meets Colorado state standards. Our Counseling Department, including a Social Worker, is available to guide students in meeting their social, emotional, and life goals. The Bijou School partners with Career Pathways to offer students the opportunity to prepare for their future through career education. We are a school where all students receive the best first instruction in all content areas with individualized support through a lesson plan for learning, with 125-190 students in the entire school, and no more than 24 students in a class. We are a school where all students have a growth mindset in their education, graduation, and foundation for their future by understanding the power of "YET", a co-lab model across content for credit recoupment every quarter and postsecondary workforce readiness opportunities onsite. We are a school where all students receive early, effective, and individualized interventions via students accessing counselors and a social worker daily, tutoring opportunities during the school day, and restorative practices to repair harm in relationships.                           Through multiple meetings, this UIP was written based on the feedback and input of stakeholders, including students, Staff, parents, guardians, and advocates.
