Rogers Elementary is a school of approximately 300 students located in the central area of Colorado Springs. Rogers adopted a Dual Language Immersion Spanish pathway program in 2022, and the program continues to grow each year. 53 % of our student population is male, while 47% is female. 53% of our population is considered Hispanic, 31% is Caucasian, 9% black, and 6 % mixed races. Our process for developing our UIP included data meetings involving teachers, administration and parents. At these d…
ata meetings, we looked at our trends, our possible root causes, and then made plans for our improvement in areas we targeted. Additionally, Rogers Elementary went through a strategic planning event where we included stakeholders to look at our data including all staff perceptions, to create a new school logo and identity statement. This work was intended to unite our traditional track with our dual language track to be a united school. Our identity statement moving is: At Rogers Elementary, as a Quality Neighborhood and Dual Language Immersion school in D11, we empower learners through aligned, rigorous instruction that inspires a unified community of belonging.
