Historically, Park Lane Elementary School has been a small school located in the northwest quadrant of Aurora. As of the 2023-2024 school year, Park Lane will acquire an additional 250 students from a neighboring school, Sable Elementary, due to the Blueprint Initiative within Aurora Public Schools. We are a Title I school that is projected to serve 550+ students, Preschool through 5th grade. Our school is a neighborhood school that services the Morris Heights community and Sable community. revious years, including 2022-2023, Park Lane's boundaries included south of the Colfax corridor and the Comitis Transitional Housing. With the new boundaries for 2023-204, we will no longer service south of the Colfax Corridor, but will now serve communities north of Colfax and east of I-225. We will continue to serve the Comitis Transitional Housing Project. Our diversity is Park Lane's greatest asset. Park Lane's is a multicultural community with over 17 languages. Park Lane Elementary has a varying degree of needs, including, but not limited to: poverty, homelessness, and/or, need extensive mental health services. Overall, we have serve communities that have been historically marginalized. Eighty-two percent of our families meet the criteria for Free Lunch, while approximately eight percent qualify for Reduced Lunch. Parent engagement varies across the building, as parents and families work to provide basic needs for their families.
