Arkansas Elementary School is a neighborhood school located near Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, CO. We have 454 students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We have 65 staff members (licensed and classified). Our mission is to provide engaging learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students and prepares them for the 21st Century. Our sense of urgency for this year is to ensure all students have solid foundational phonics skills. We work as a team to accelerate the learning of every Arkansas student every day. As a school, we follow a Restorative Practices approach guided by our PBiS acronym: ROAR (Role Model, Ownership, Attitude, and Respectful). This approach supports us in focusing on solutions to move the school forward.
