Historically, Park Lane Elementary School has been a small school located in the northwest quadrant of Aurora. As of the 2023-2024 school year, Park Lane added an additional 250 students from a neighboring school, Sable Elementary, due to the Blueprint Initiative within Aurora Public Schools. We are a Title I school that serves 487 students, Preschool through 5th grade. ousing Project. Our FRL at the end of the 2024 school year was 84.8%. Our average ADA for the 2023-2024 school year was 87.77%. Our average ADA for the 2024-2025 school year was 88%. We have 202 students who are non English Language Learners, 150 students who are designated as Not English Proficient, 110 students who are designated as Limited English Proficient, and 15 students who are designated as Functionally English Proficient, and 10 students who are designated as English Proficient. Additionally, during the 2023-2024 school year we had staffing challenges, and were not fully staffed with teachers. Park Lane's diversity is our greatest asset. We are a multicultural community with over 27 languages spoken by our students and families. Park Lane Elementary has a varying degree of needs, including, but not limited to: poverty, homelessness, and/or, need extensive mental health services. Overall, we have served communities that have been historically marginalized. Parent engagement varies across the building, as parents and families work to provide basic needs for their families.
