About Queen Palmer Elementary School (7228)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Queen Palmer Elementary School

2025-2026

At Queen Palmer Elementary School, we take pride in being a small but strong Title I community, where every child is seen, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. Our school is grounded in a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and care where academic growth and social-emotional development go hand in hand. The dedication of our highly qualified staff, along with the trust and engagement of our families, creates a learning environment where students thrive. Our commitment … to excellence is reflected in our designation as a Performance School by the Colorado Department of Education. This recognition is based on student outcomes from the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments and affirms the hard work of our staff, students, and families. This year, our Unified Improvement Plan was the result of a thoughtful and collaborative process led by the school?s Instructional Leadership Team, with guidance and support from our Area Instructional Coach and Area Superintendent. Together, we engaged in deep data analysis to better understand our school?s strengths and areas for growth. We reviewed multiple sources of data, including STAR assessments, DIBELS 8th Edition results, attendance records, Panorama survey feedback, and the 5Essentials Survey. These data helped us identify trends and root causes, which guided the selection of two major improvement strategies designed to accelerate student learning and enhance school climate. Stakeholder voice played an essential role throughout this process. During our Leadership Symposium, members of our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTA) and School Accountability Committee (SAC) joined the conversation to help shape the plan. They brought valuable insights, asked thoughtful questions, and provided feedback that helped refine our priorities and ensure alignment with community needs. Our SAC made up of seven dedicated parents and four committed staff members continues to support the implementation of our plan and serves as an important partner in our school?s improvement journey. At Queen Palmer, we believe that every child deserves an excellent education, and our Unified Improvement Plan is a reflection of that belief in action. With shared purpose and clear direction, we are working together to make sure all students are growing, achieving, and becoming confident, capable learners.
