Welcome to Arapahoe High School. Thank you for taking the time to explore and learn more about our amazing educational institution. Arapahoe High School is a top-performing high school in Centennial, Colorado, with a long-standing reputation for excellence in academics, athletics, and activities. We are proud to be celebrating our 62nd year serving the community. Our identity is rooted in strong traditions that are evident throughout our school staff, student body and community. As a comprehens…
ive high school, we strive to offer a well-rounded education through innovative choice programming and elective offerings. We truly embody our vision: ?Arapahoe High School is a leading school where Excellence and Tradition meet Innovation.? One of the most unique features that sets Arapahoe apart from almost every other public high school in the United States is our authentic partnership with the Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming?s Wind River Reservation. Since September 17, 1993, we have maintained a valuable and strong relationship that allows both our students and staff, as well as the Arapaho people, to develop a mutual respect for each other?s culture. We are honored to offer the Plains Indian Cultures elective course to our students. The Arapaho Nation endorses our school?s name, Warrior mascot, and logo. The original version of the ?Arapahoe Warrior? was designed by Wilbur Antelope, a tribal artist, and we display it proudly. We are honored to call ourselves Warriors and are proud to represent the Northern Arapaho people with dignity. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to preparing 100 percent of our Warriors for meaningful post-secondary opportunities by maintaining high academic standards for all students. We have renewed our focus on ensuring all students have access to grade-level expectations while providing support for those who need it through co-taught classes, support classes, TRIBE/Advisory periods, and our academic study center. We value individualized learning pathways, allowing students to tailor their four years to their personal interests, post-secondary goals, and needs during their time at Arapahoe. Students can choose from more than 175 different course offerings that span a quarter, a semester, or an entire academic year in order to maximize exposure to an array of academic experiences. More than 80 percent of our teachers have subject expertise and advanced degrees qualifying them to teach Concurrent Enrollment (CE) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. We offer more than 50 CE and 22 AP courses and continue to explore the possibility of adding more every year. We are proud to offer these rigorous courses, and our students have truly benefited. During the 2024-2025 school year, students earned a total of 6,025 college credits through CE and achieved an 88% pass rate (a score of 3 or higher) on 1,333 AP exams. It is a true testament to the caliber of our teachers that we can offer such diverse courses. Additionally, our students have access to a wide variety of Career and Technical Education courses at Arapahoe and at our Explorative Pathways for Innovative Careers (EPIC) campus. At EPIC, students can participate in seven career-focused pathways, where they can earn industry certifications and CE credit. At Arapahoe, students can truly come for their diploma and start their degree! Classroom instruction is focused on data-driven student learning grounded in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Our faculty believe in the importance of students demonstrating mastery of essential standards, and they offer consistent and aligned instruction across all courses. Students are expected to continue working until they achieve mastery. Thus, recoverability in learning is an expectation among the faculty and promotes student advocacy as they develop mastery of essential standards. Students and teachers leverage our TRIBE enrichment period four times a week for pre-teaching, re-teaching, and extension of learning. Faculty provide our students with a tremendous amount of support and encouragement. Our academic study center is accessible to students every period of every day and is facilitated by a licensed staff member as well as an instructional paraprofessional. In addition to our excellence in academics, student spirit and belonging are thriving at Arapahoe. We emphasize the importance of students connecting through clubs and activities, as well as through participation in our athletic programs. We have more than 50 different clubs and activities that provide a space for all students to find a place to belong. The list of clubs is consistently growing as students are also able to start their own student-initiated clubs. Our DECA, FBLA, Thespians, and TSA are highly distinguished and compete in state and national competitions year after year. We are proud of our TSA state officers who represent Arapahoe at a high level. Arapahoe is a member of the prestigious Centennial League, one of the most competitive 5A leagues in the state of Colorado. Our 24 CHSAA athletic teams across multiple levels for both boys and girls showcase our student athletes year after year. More than 70 percent of our student body is involved in at least one athletic program, with many participating in two or three. The heart of a champion beats inside our Warriors. Since 2013, our Warriors have won eight 5A State Championships, thirteen 5A Runner-Up State Championships, and one National Cheerleading Championship. We prepare many of our graduates to continue their athletic careers. Forty students from the Class of 2025 signed to compete at the collegiate level. We are proud of our ?Warrior Spirit? as we compete with other top schools in Colorado and the nation. We welcome you to reach out if you want to learn more about Arapahoe High School.
