Northglenn Middle is located at 112th and Muriel in Thornton, Colorado. We currently serve approximately 666 students with a decrease of approximately 10 students from the 2024-25 school year. We are an urban school with the approximate subgroup percentages being the following: free/reduced ? 82%, minority ? 81% (largely Hispanic), students with disabilities ?23%, and approximately 32.7% English language learners (NEP, LEP, M1, and M2) ? st Sarah Stone, Principal. We then are also supported by two TOSA, two instructional coaches, three counselors, two full time social workers, a Social Emotional Learning Specialist, a Community Liaison and an Attendance Clerk. All of our certified staff members are verified to be highly qualified in their area of instruction. In developing this year?s UIP, the School Accountability Team and the administrative team have been the key bodies. The team is made up of teachers, counselors, administration, classified staff, family liaison, and parents. School Accountability Team meetings are generally facilitated in English and Spanish. The team meets regularly throughout the year and, in terms of the UIP, functions to review previous year?s data/targets/plan, to review benchmark data, to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction, and to inform the future direction of the UIP. The team will be reviewing the 2024-25 CMAS, NWEA MAP, and ACCESS data at our October 2025 meeting. We will review the UIP as a team and our parents will sign the form indicating their support for this current working draft and the associated process to develop it on.
