Rocky Mountain Elementary is located in the southwestern part of the Adams 12 Five Star Schools district in Westminster, Colorado. For the 2025?2026 school year, Rocky Mountain's enrollment is projected at 303 students; currently, we have 280 students enrolled. Our mission is to foster an environment of high care and high expectations, where every student is valued, supported, and challenged to achieve their full potential. Our school?s shared values include educational equity, a growth mindset,… high expectations, relationships, safety, and collaboration. Our student demographics reflect the diversity of our community: 90.9% of students qualify for free or reduced benefits 85.8% identify as Minority 43.1% are Multilingual Learners 18.2% receive special education services through an IEP Our mobility rate is 20%, and our current attendance rate is 88.6%. Notably, we have not surpassed 90% attendance since the 2019?2020 school year. Rocky Mountain hosts two specialized programs: a Significant Support Needs (SSN) program serving 10 students and an Affective Needs (AN) program serving 11 students. In addition to core instruction, all K?5 students participate in art, music, computer science, and physical education. Multilingual Learners receive 45 minutes of targeted language instruction daily. Rocky Mountain earned a rating of Priority Improvement on the 2025 School Performance Framework (SPF), earning 40.6% of the points. This is year 2 of Priority Improvement for the school. For the 2025?2026 school year, our school is focused on two Major Improvement Strategies (MIS): MIS #1: Ensuring consistency to support rigorous and relevant learning MIS #2: Engaging all students in learning partnerships that foster a sense of academic and social belonging In addition to our two Major Improvement Strategies, we are also working to strengthen our family engagement practices. We know that building authentic partnerships with parents and families is critical for fostering a sense of community and supporting student success. We believe that strong school?home partnerships lead to deeper student engagement, improved academic outcomes, and a more positive school culture. To support this work, we've set internal goals that include hosting monthly parent engagement meetings (Partners in Education), inviting families to participate in daytime celebrations of learning, and expanding opportunities for volunteering.
