Monfort Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school in Greeley, Colorado with a student enrollment of 364 students for the 2025-2025 school year. This is a decrease of about 5 students from the previous year.   Over the last two years, the amount of migrant students attending Monfort Elementary has remained steady from 1.7% in 2023-2024 to 1.4% in 2024-2025. There was a slight decrease in the percentage of migrant students 1.4% in 2024-2025 to 0.% in the 2025-2026 school year.… There was a slight increase in overall immigrant students from 4.7% in the 2024-2025 school year to 6.6% in the 2025-2025 school year.  Monfort has 65% of students identified as minority for the 2024-205 school year with an increase to 67.4% for the 2025-2026 school year. We have a very small population of students speaking multiple languages, with approximately 59 students or less than 16% of the total school population with a slight increase to 17.6%  for the 2025-2026 school .  Despite changing demographics, our students on individualized education plans (IEPs) and students on advanced learning plans (GT) remain consistent with 19% on an IEP and 1.1% identified as gifted and talented.  51% of our students receive free and/or reduced lunches. This number decreased from the previous year of 74%.  Approximately 38.2% of the student population is on open enrollment status and travels to school from other parts of the Greeley-Evans area which is a 2% increase  from the previous year.  The school has average attendance rates with a daily attendance average of 90.7% and lower than average discipline issues.   We currently have three rounds of homeroom classes in kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd and 4th grade with two rounds of classes in 2nd and 5th grade. Our primary classrooms (Kindergarten-2nd grade) average 24 students in each classroom and our intermediate grades (3rd-5th grade) have an average class size of 26 students per classroom.    We are very fortunate to have an intensive autism program that supports 23 students with autism from across the district. We have two intensive autism teachers, two resource teachers, one speech pathologist, a half-time school psychologist, and an occupational therapist that serve approximately 19% of our students who have individualized education plans. This is our fifth year with a full-time school counselor to work with our students with regulation strategies and social emotional learning (SEL) needs as well as continued implementation of the SEL curriculum (Second Step).
