About Jefferson Junior/Senior High (4425)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Jefferson Junior/Senior High

2025-2026

Jefferson High School serves approximately 320 students at a time, with enrollment fluctuating every nine weeks as students graduate and new students enroll. As an alternative education campus, Jefferson supports a diverse student body with a wide range of needs and life experiences. Many of our students face challenges such as chronic absenteeism, economic hardship, credit deficiencies, involvement with the justice system, teen pregnancy, and mental health concerns. Additionally, we serve a sig… nificant population of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) students as well as students receiving special education services. These factors often place students at risk of not graduating or not graduating on time. However, Jefferson High School is structured to address these barriers through shortened academic terms and robust credit recovery opportunities, enabling students to get back on track and work toward graduating with their cohort. Despite the complexities of our student population, Jefferson prioritizes building strong, meaningful relationships with students. We believe that fostering trust and connection is the foundation for academic re-engagement. Through intentional programming and a supportive school culture, we empower students to take ownership of their education and progress toward graduation.
