Pinnacle Charter School is celebrating 28 Years of excellence in education! The charter was obtained in 1997 under the umbrella of Adams 12 Five Star Schools and is currently part of the Charter School Institute District. The School had its beginnings in a shopping mall and expanded to its current location in 2001. The parking garage and Performing Arts Complex was added in 2004. A separate High School was constructed in 2010, to the west and across the street from the current K-8 building. The … Pinnacle Athletic Complex was funded through an NFL grant from the Broncos and opened in August, 2022. Most recently, the Pinnacle Arts Workshop (PAW) opened in January of 2025. Based upon the 2024 October Count, the following demographics were calculated: 1,905 student population; 87.6% Hispanic; 1% Black; 1.5% Asian; .8% Two or More; .5% Other; combined equals 91.4% Minority.  The English language learner population is 46.8%; Gifted & Talented is 1.8%; Special Education is 11%; 504 Plan is 2.2%; and Free & Reduced Lunch is 81%. The daily attendance rate is 91.3%. The 4-Year graduation rate is 94% and the dropout rate is 1.7%. Pinnacle Charter School offers academically rigorous and robust programming in a K-12 setting. Pinnacle is growing its AVID program school wide. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a proven national program designed to support and assist all students to succeed in a college preparatory path for admission to universities and colleges. Our secondary students may enroll in concurrent enrollment courses allowing them to earn college credit while in High School. There are a rich variety of school offerings in athletics, extra curricular activities, clubs and volunteer opportunities to enrich the all around educational experience.
