Location Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County (ACADC) is located at 10004 Park Meadows Dr., Lone Tree, CO 80124 Enrollment ACADC?s projected enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is approximately 1025 students, including 850 full-time students at the K-12 campus, along with 175 students K-8 in our part-time Home School Enrichment program, which meets at another location. Vision Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County develops the moral and intellectual skills, habits, and virtues upon … which independent, responsible, and joyful lives are built, in the firm belief that such lives are the basis for a free and flourishing republic. Mission Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County trains the minds and improves the hearts of young people through a classical, content-rich education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue in an orderly and disciplined environment. Curriculum ACADC is a Member School Candidate of the Barney Charter School Initiative through Hillsdale College K-12. Our curriculum is informed by Hillsdale and stems from the classical tradition over the last two millennia. Emphasis is placed upon: Singapore Math, explicit early phonics, cursive handwriting, primary sources or works, etc. We provide a well-rounded, robust education exposing students to the very best in the humanities, liberal arts, math, sciences, fine and performing arts, and athletics. Faculty/Staff ACADC expects to have around 120+/- full and part-time faculty and staff for 2024-25. Leadership The ACADC Leadership Team includes the Headmaster and a core group of 5-6 Deans and/or Directors. Parent Participation In addition to the School Accountability Committee (SAC), ACADC is fortunate to have strong parent participation. Parents are able to volunteer to help support the school in a wide variety of ways including: lunch, classroom help, field trips, etc. There are numerous additional opportunities to get involved in larger community events both on and off-campus, along with various parent nights, Headmaster Coffees, etc. throughout the year.
