Thunder Mountain Elementary School Established in 1982, Thunder Mountain Elementary serves Pre-K through 5th grade students in Grand Junction, Colorado. With an enrollment of about 400 students and an average attendance rate of 93%, 57% of our students qualify for Free or Reduced Meals. Our diverse community includes 65% White, 28% Hispanic, and 7% representing other racial backgrounds. We offer two preschool programs and a LIFE (Significant Needs) Program, supported by a dedicated team of speci…
al education staff, interventionists, and a full-time counselor. Our 65 staff members?including three new teachers this year?are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Guided by our CLIMB expectations?Capable, Learner, Integrity, Mindful, and Belonging?we focus on academic excellence, character development, and strong family partnerships. With ongoing building improvements and expanded learning opportunities, Thunder Mountain continues to be a place where every student is seen, supported, and celebrated.
