North Fork High School, located in Hotchkiss, Colorado, was established in 2021 through a reorganization that combined the former Hotchkiss and Paonia high schools. The school was created to address declining enrollment within the North Fork Valley, located in the rural Western Slope of Colorado. The school currently has 276 students. 53% are male and 47% are female. There are currently 40 staff members, 19 of which are classroom teachers. The student population consists of 75% Caucasian, 21% Hi… spanic, 3% American Indian & 1% Black, 51% of the student population eligible for free and reduced lunch. The school offers 25 concurrent enrollment and AP courses, as well as courses through five different CTE programs.
