Delta Academy of Applied Learning (DAAL) was established in 2002 and is a school of choice contracted with Delta County School District 50J. DAAL is located in 3 separate classrooms on the second floor of the Performing Arts Center (822 Grand Avenue) in Delta, Colorado. DAAL currently employs two full time teachers and one teacher aide serving students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades with an average enrollment of 24 students over the past few years. DAAL is governed by a Board of Directors, comprise…
d of parents and community members, that meet every six weeks to guide the overall operation of the school and make decisions regarding the following: staff employment, budgeting, policy and improvement concerns and approval of school-related activities. Notable changes in the past couple of years include challenges for both students and staff surrounding illness and student attendance. All school performance indicators are positive. ? Mission Statement Delta Academy of Applied Learning exists to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and a commitment to academic and moral excellence so that students are well-prepared for high school and may become productive members of society.
