Arrowhead Elementary is part of the Cherry Creek School District and serves students in Aurora, Colorado. We are identified as a Title 1 school and receive Title 1 funding. We have 501 students (PK-5) and approximately 80 staff members. We are proud of our diverse community. Approximately 50% of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch, 18% of our students are multilingual learners, and 70% of our students are Students of Color. Approximately 7.6% of our students are identified as Gifted and …
Talented or are in the Talent Pool and 20% of our students receive special education services. For the 2024-2025 school year, Arrowhead is excited to be one of two schools in our district to open a twice exceptional program to better meet the needs of twice exceptional students. The program currently serves 13 students with the ability to expand as the need arises. At Arrowhead Elementary, our past experiences have shown us that it takes a team to help all students reach their maximum potential. The rigorous curriculum we offer is directly aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards. Our school provides both enrichment and intervention supports for students to help each child achieve his or her full potential. Our students? success does not happen by itself. It is the result of collaboration between students, families, staff, and the Arrowhead community. The staff at Arrowhead places emphasis on collaborating so that students receive the best instruction possible. Over the last two years, we have grown our data literacy skills as a staff, allowing us to provide stronger targeted instruction. As part of our work to develop our Professional Learning Community (PLC), our staff uses data to monitor student growth and the effectiveness of our instructional strategies. The Arrowhead staff is committed to learning and growing our practice to best meet the needs of our students.
