Overland High School is a comprehensive, public, suburban high school entering its 44th year of existence since opening as Cherry Creek School District's 3rd high school in 1978. Overland offers a range of rigorous and challenging courses through honors course, advanced placement, and concurrent enrollment. Overland operates on a block schedule, with four 94 minute classes each day, with a 30 minute Advisory lesson every Wednesday. With over 2200 students in grades 9-12, the student body represe… nts an international and local populations with over 50 languages spoken and 90 countries represented. The racial profile of Overland High School is one of the most diverse high schools in the state of Colorado with 28% African American, 49% Hispanic/Latino, 18% Caucasian, 6% Asian / Pacific Islander, >1% Native American / Indigenous, and 6% Multiracial. A significant portion of Overland Student body speaks multiple languages, with more than 40% receiving English Language Support services. The 2024-2025 school year is feeling more like our traditional programming, post COVID. Our success statement remains ''Blazer Great. Blazer Proud. Blazer Excellent.'' 230 certified and classified staff members, administrators, and counselors, serve the Overland High School student body every day. Located in north Aurora, Overland High School has a mobility of approximately 20% and is made up of low to low-to-mid Socioeconomic Status. We have approximately 67% identified Free and Reduced Lunch student population.
