Altitude Elementary is a high performing elementary school in the Cherry Creek School District. Altitude opened in 2018 with the challenge of creating an elementary school environment that was innovative in preparing students to be successful in an ever-changing future. We focus on high expectations for all students, and we offer unmatched learning experiences, so our students build a wealth of background knowledge to guide them in the future. h) focus and Genius Hour are cornerstones of our foundation. Our students engage in Project-Based L:earning and use design-thinking to build their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We combine this with Group Basics to help students learn how to work with others. These skills, along with high expectations in reading, writing, and math, prepare our students for whatever comes their way as they progress through their K-12 education and life. Our students reach their potential academically, socially, and emotionally. They learn how to be resilient and persevere through challenging tasks. Our “Moose Don’t Quit!” we highlight and fix.
