Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, a school with approximately 540 PK through Fifth Grade students, is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational environment where each and every student feels safe, respected and valued. Our staff is focused on creating a Professional Learning Community where we work collaboratively to create an environment where students, staff, and our community feel welcome, safe, and can bring joy to our school. Through this process we focus on learning, develop a co… llaborative culture, and are results oriented through our consistent data analysis. Our students R.O.A.R.: Show Responsibility Own it Demonstrate a great Attitude Demonstrate Responsibility. These behaviors are recognized and celebrated through our Cougar of the Month Celebration at each grade level. Students have access to innovative learning in their classrooms and through four different special programs including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Each year we also offer over 20 different after-school clubs for students to explore their passions in and out of school. We are a many-time recipient of the John Irwin School of Excellence Award, which recognizes schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, and the Governor?s Distinguished Improvement Award, which recognizes outstanding student growth. Our growth and achievement has been celebrated at both the local and state level.
