The enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is 880 students. The building has a capacity of approximately 1,100. The curriculum includes intervention, general, Career Technical Education (CTE), Advanced Placement (AP), and Concurrent Enrollment coursework. Steamboat Springs High School offers 23 varsity sports, 25 clubs and activities, a wide variety of community partnerships, along with internship and work-based learning opportunities. Steamboat Springs High School Mission   is to foster growt… h and well-being for our school community and create a climate where all people belong and are given opportunities to grow. Our school principles are the following: Spirit; We show up to support each other, Accountability; We are responsible for ourselves and to our community, Inclusion; We value everyone, Leadership; We empower one another. Together we SAIL! SSHS is on a rotating block 8 schedule in which students attend each class for 90 minutes every other day. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors take 7 classes each semester while seniors are encouraged to take 7 courses but must take a minimum of 6 classes first semester and 4 classes second semester. The high school also participates in the dual enrollment program, and partners with CMC Steamboat.  Steamboat Springs High School staff has a diversity of interest and abilities and connects with students on many different levels. Multiple opportunities exist for students to explore their passions and develop their abilities. The staff builds positive relationships with their students, and enables students to explore their academic and extracurricular interests.
