Cactus Valley Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Garfield RE-2 School District. We currently have 462 students enrolled from preschool through fifth grade. In the 2025?2026 school year, our Multilingual Learner (MLL) population represents 26% of our students. Our overall student body is 50% White and 48% Hispanic. tive efficacy by ensuring our Building Leadership Team includes classroom teachers, fostering shared ownership and collaboration. Our goal is to strengthen school culture and climate while engaging more staff in school-wide decision-making. Teachers meet regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze data and develop action steps for students who are not yet meeting proficiency on the Colorado Academic Standards. Our commitment to collaboration, data-informed instruction, and inclusive leadership is driving meaningful growth for both our students and staff. Â Cactus Valley focuses on developing happy, high achieving students and staff. All of the effort that is put into planning the learning experiences which happen inside our school doors is centered around this vision. Students are encouraged to follow the 3 B's, be kind, be safe, be responsible. We are working hard to make sure all of our students gain a strong foundation in literacy and math, as well as develop their strength and determination to find success.
