Rifle Middle School, on the gorgeous western slope of Colorado, serves students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Our school focus is (since post-pandemic) getting all students to read on or above grade level. Our vision and mission is: All kids will achieve and sustain a positive trajectory of academic growth and receive the supports needed to contribute productively to our school community because we exist to effectively teach and nurture adolescent students to be prepared to take their next steps. …
Our school is fortunate to be able to offer many opportunities for students to enjoy one or more areas of focus in addition to their overall education: Band, Choir, Performing Arts, Computer Science, Healthy Cooking (Family & Consumer Sciences); along with various extracurricular activities: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Track, Mountain Biking Club, Ski Club, Second Shift After School Classes. Rifle Middle School has 550 students as of Fall 2025. Some of our demographics include: almost equal numbers of male/female, 65% minority, 200 English Language Learners at various levels, 18% Students with IEPs and a 95% attendance rate.
