About Crown Pointe Charter Academy (2035)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Crown Pointe Charter Academy

2025-2026

Crown Pointe Academy (CPA) is a Colorado Charter School Institute authorized school located in Westminster, Colorado. CPA began operation in August, 1997 serving students in grades K-5. Since then, CPA has expanded its program enrolling approximately 460 students in grades K-8. The mission of Crown Pointe Academy is to promote creativity, curiosity, character, and community in a challenging Core Knowledge environment. The vision of CPA is that all alumni possess the skills, character, and confid… ence to reach their personal potential. Currently, 62% of our students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program; our demographic make up is 67% Hispanic or Latino, 23% white, 6% Asian, and 4% two or more races, American Indian, or African American. CPA enrolls students on a weighted lottery with priority given to attending siblings and relatives of staff members. We strive to keep class sizes small with no more than 27 students in any class. All elementary classes have a full time, dedicated instructional assistant in addition to the classroom teacher. Middle school is supported by an assistant who works with all content area teachers. CPA's Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) is created by the administrative team with input from volunteer teachers. After completing the UIP, we seek feedback from our Building Accountability Advisory Committee (BAAC), which makes suggestions to ensure that the UIP matches CPA's instructional and programming goals. After receiving feedback, the UIP will be presented to the Academy Board, a governance-based team of parents and community members. With the Board's approval, the UIP team will finalize the plan and submit to the Charter School Institute. The UIP is reviewed regularly by staff and the BAAC to ensure accuracy and update the Action Plan.
