Colorado Preparatory Academy Middle School is a comprehensive Colorado Public School and is entirely online. Staff consists of 26 Colorado certified content teachers and dedicated special education teachers and 1 English Learner teacher. We have a school psychologist, social worker, and school counselor to support mental and emotional health. Our content teachers support students in groups and individually by using student data and performance to determine learning needs. Instruction varies in…
frequency and intensity depending on student needs. State certified teachers also support our elective offerings which include music, art, journalism, photography, career explorations, computers, and physical education. Our special services teachers support students with IEPs and/or ELL needs by offering individual and small group service time to meet each student's goals and accommodations as needed. These teachers also ''push in'' to general education courses and co-teach as well as collaborate to help all students understand and master grade-level standards. The Champion Advisory/Homeroom teachers, which includes all certified general education teachers), work with students individually and in groups to help establish good schooling habits and to share tips for successful engagement in the online learning platform. They work closely with Learning Coaches (parents) and students alike.
