Pueblo Centennial High School is the oldest high school in Pueblo, Colorado and has been serving the Pueblo Community since 1876. Centennial is a comprehensive high school that serves approximately 800 students for the 2024-2025 school year. Our minority student population is 76% and 54% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch. 14% of our students are on an Individual Education Plan and 2.5% are ELL learners. We are in our second year of a new building that includes state of the art facil…
ities including the space for our Career Technical Educational courses. The layout of the building provides opportunities for teachers and students to incorporate Project Based Learning. These two characteristics are significant due to Centennial being granted the Magnet Schools Assistance Program grant (Project Heroes). This grant will provide a Project Based Learning pedagogy to incorporate STREAM and an emphasis on developing complete pathways of our CTE programs which include: Health Academy, Construction Technology, Business Marketing and Broadcasting. In addition to the CTE programs, Centennial High School provides students with comprehensive programs such as, Concurrent Enrollment, Senior to Sophomore, and Advanced Placement. In addition to these programs, an emphasis is placed on rigorous lessons that engage all students.
