Ridgeview Elementary is located in Northwest Colorado, approximately 90 miles east of the Utah border and 40 miles south of the Wyoming border. It is one of three elementary schools in the Moffat County School District and currently serves approximately 240 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. ent. Ridgeview?s student population is diverse in both academic needs and backgrounds. Approximately 52.8% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 19.3% receive special education services. The school has maintained an average attendance rate of 93.5%, reflecting strong student engagement and community support. All students receive daily instruction in core content areas, including math, reading, and writing. Social Studies is taught twice a week and integrated into literacy instruction to strengthen reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Math and reading interventions are built into the master schedule to ensure every student receives targeted support or enrichment. Students also benefit from a robust specials rotation that includes Art, Project Lead the Way, Life Skills, and Library. Music and Physical Education are provided daily to promote a well-rounded educational experience. Ridgeview is committed to fostering both academic achievement and the social-emotional development of all students through intentional programming and a strong school culture.
