Sand Creek High School is located in Eastern El Paso County in Falcon District 49. We are a public high school serving over 1, 400 students in grades 9-12 during the 2024-2025 school year. Sand Creek High School has a robust concurrent enrollment program and offers the largest variety of college courses on any D49 campus as well as course opportunities at Pikes Peak State College campuses. Advanced Placement (AP) course offerings have increased and will continue to provide our students with many… upper level options. All students who take AP courses are provided with free AP exams. There are also multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways for students at Sand Creek to take advantage of, including Business, Criminal Justice, Health Sciences, and Engineering/Manufacturing/Computer Science, which provide students opportunities to explore these career fields as well as to earn work/industry certifications for employment after graduation. Sand Creek is in the sixth year of the AVID implementation with AVID Elective courses offered to all four grade levels. Sand Creek High School has a strong English Language Development program that serves approximately 5% of the student population. Students with Individualized Education Plans make up 11% of the population. Student sub-populations include 36% Hispanic, 7% African-American, 12% multiple races and 4% Asian. Approximately 49% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Sand Creek High School is rated by the Colorado Department of Education as a ?Performance? school in the fall 2023 School Performance Framework (SPF). Student growth and achievement primarily falls under the "approaching" category according to the SPF.
