The St. Vrain Valley School District is Colorado's 7th largest school district, spanning over 411 square miles. St. Vrain Valley is unique in that it serves over 33,000 students from primarily Weld and Boulder counties. New Meridian High School (NMHS) is a small alternative education campus (AEC) within the St. Vrain Valley School District. New Meridian offers a St.Vrain Valley Schools high school diploma with the same rigorous graduation requirements in a small, community-oriented environment. … Students share a campus with the district Career and Technical Education Center, where they can access robust programming from one of the eight program pathways and/or other meaningful college and career opportunities. The school?s mission is to provide an inclusive and transformative educational experience that supports and empowers students to navigate their unique journey in an ever-changing world. The staff at New Meridian is committed to helping each student achieve their goals, graduate, and plan for their future. NMHS enrolls students quarterly, with an average enrollment of 140 students. As a recognized Alternative Education Campus by the Colorado Department of Education, over 95% of the total student population is defined as ''At-Risk'' and falls into at least one of the CDE-defined high-risk categories.
