Byers Elementary School is a small, community-centered school located in a rural area, serving children from preschool through sixth grade. With an enrollment of approximately 275 students, the school offers a close-knit, supportive environment for learning. he school's growing diversity. The dedicated staff includes 16 classroom teachers who are committed to fostering academic growth and personal development for each child. In addition to classroom instruction, the school provides targeted support through a Reading Interventionist, a Title 1 teacher for students in need of extra assistance in reading, and a full-time Special Education teacher to ensure all students receive personalized attention. The Elementary School is led by Machaela Eymann who is currently in her second year in this position. Byers Elementary also enriches its students' experience with a full-time Music teacher and Physical Education teacher, fostering creativity and physical well-being. A part-time elementary counselor supports students' social and emotional development, while a part-time art teacher helps students explore their creativity. Together, the staff at Byers Elementary School creates a nurturing, inclusive and dynamic learning environment for every child. In creating strategies for improvement and growth, Byers Elementary engages a variety of stakeholders, including the District Accountability Committee.
