World Academy is a Kindergarten through 12th grade online school that aims to provide students who are looking for a unique learning path with a self-paced, challenging core content curriculum. World Academy is tuition-free for full-time students and available to students of Eagle County and students of surrounding counties (as space permits). We also offer supplemental classes for students enrolled in a brick-and-mortar school. There are five primary characteristics of World Academy that reflect the principles and values of our online approach to education. 1. Individualized World Academy offers a customized, flexible approach to education. We prioritize personalized learning experiences for students. Curriculum is tailored to meet the specific needs, interests, and goals of each student, which allows for a more adaptable learning environment than a typical classroom. 2. Rigorous We maintain high academic standards and place a strong emphasis on a rigorous education. Students are challenged with demanding coursework and high expectations, providing the opportunity for a comprehensive and in-depth education. 3. Solution-Oriented World Academy staff are dedicated to problem solving and solutions-oriented planning. We exemplify these skills while working to find solutions that support the needs of our students and our community. 4. Relationship-Focused At World Academy, the strong relationships we form with students and families contribute to supportive and collaborative learning environments. Positive interactions and meaningful relationships are fundamental to the sense of belonging and support students feel. 5. Feedback-Based World Academy prioritizes feedback as a means of continuous improvement.
