Eagle Valley Middle School is a grade 6-8 public school with approximately 335 students and 35 full time faculty. EVMS is located in Eagle County which is home to two recreational ski resorts, Vail and Beaver Creek, which attracts visitors from around the world. The community is diverse as it operates as a service community to the tourist industry. This diversity is reflected in each of our 17 schools within Eagle County Schools. alley High School located in Gypsum Colorado. In 2023, EVMS was noted to be on a Performance plan meeting performance benchmarks in Achievement (62.5%) and Growth (58.0%) with an overall performance evaluation of 59.8. In 2024, EVMS' overall performance jumped to 67.2 with all sub categories meeting growth. In 2025 EVMS made further advancements by reaching a performance rating of 69.9 with a rating of meets or exceeds in ELA for all students and approaching for all students in Math. A goal for EVMS has been our special populations and this focus with our ELL population yielded an exceeds category in ELA growth. EVMS continues to address student learning and SEL needs of each student. Eagle Valley Middle School has a 7 period day with a homeroom and offers 2 periods of traditional specials including; music, art, physical education, exploratory and STEAM. Embedded in the core, students can take a Dual Language Language Arts class. Also embedded in the core are students who need additional support with special education, reading strategies or ELL needs. EVMS is also very proud of the extracurricular participation where over 80% will participate in an school activity through the year through a school offered programing and through our community partner of Youth Power 365.
