r neighborhood schools. Those who join us cite the lack of transportation, poorly performing or dangerous buildings, bullying, rigid bell schedules, and outdated discipline structures. The academic team works with students and their families to help them develop a renewed desire to learn. Student support is maintained through daily contact with teachers and parent guidance at a balanced level while providing opportunities for middle school students to develop self-directed learning skills as they move toward high school. Parent involvement is critical to help students develop the support systems that will drive success throughout their lives. As such, parents are informed and engaged in the student learning process. The partnership between teacher and parent helps drive student accountability and learning.
