Prospect Academy is a 4th - 8th grade charter school in Arvada, Colorado. Prospect specializes in serving students in special education and those who struggle with learning in a traditional school environment. On average, Prospect's enrollment has included between 70-90% of students with IEPs in any given year, and students have educational diagnoses of autism, specific learning disabilities, speech & language impairments. ool, hovering around 60 - 90 for enrollment in any given year. Prospect's goal is to bridge the gap for students who may struggle in traditional environments. We do this by grouping students by skill level in reading, writing, and math classes, and providing intervention for their level within the general education class. We also have varied enrichment (elective classes) including STEM, visual arts, PE, media production, microenterprise (entrepreneurship), Dungeons and Dragons, and a new elective this year for our 8th graders called FutureReady - preparing them for work skills and high school, and they create their own business and run it as a class.
