District 70 Online Alternative Learning Academy is a great school that offers students multiple options for academic and personal success! We offer two distinct geographically school sites in order to accommodate our students within School District 70 boundaries. Our staff is dedicated to creating and maintaining a school environment where students can be academically successful while gaining confidence in their choices for their future academic and career choices. Our school offers a K-12th gra… de educational delivery system. Our mission more specifically is to maintain a school environment where all students are valued. Similarities and differences are respected. All students are treated as our most valuable resource and the best hope for their future is cultivated. We value our goal of creating relationships that foster students best ability to learn well and attain academic success as well as confidence in their future endeavors. We maintain that we are the bridge between our district's neighborhood 6 middle schools and 4 high schools, where students can come to our school setting for 1 semester or more and even graduate with a high school diploma. Our flexible schedule allows for students who are faced with life challenges to still be able to attend an in-person school and work towards their academic success. We have a diverse Accountability Team where team members include community representatives, parents, support staff, teachers and administrators. The Accountability Team guides decisions for the platform and educational delivery system we operate under. Last School year 2024-2025 we were on a ESSA watch due to our students 6th-8th grade who are on an IEP not performing at the same rate that our Non-IEP students did. We have made this a priority both in our ELA and Math for all 6th-8th grade students on an IEP. It is our mission to create a positive learning environment for all students who will benefit from an alternative learning environment.
