The Connect Charter School was the first charter school in the state of Colorado, founded in 1993. It is located in the heart of Pueblo and is a vibrant part of the community. In our thirty second year of operation, we serve 6th through 8th grade students in a highly energetic and intellectually stimulating environment through multi-age classes. In every year of state accountability, we are proud to have earned a ?Performance? rating. In addition, every year that the John Irwin School of Excelle…
nce Award has been offered, the school has been a recipient. In 2017, the school earned a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award. Each year, Connect School staff, administration (including the school assessment coordinator), and founders participate in analyzing student achievement data and growth to analyze program strengths and areas for improvement specific to the development of our Unified Improvement Plan. We use the following process to develop our UIP. Our student achievement analysis process includes data analysis in context of prior year targets and current performance, trend analysis, identification of priority performance challenges and root causes, verification of root causes, establishing new annual performance targets for the current and following year, identification of interim measures, and major improvement strategies. We are a highly effective school and parents in our community continue to seek us as their top choice for the best middle school education.
